Apple Watch Series 9
The best smart watch according to smartwatchspace.com is the Apple Watch Series 9. This watch will have a better processor and ontop off all the previous health related sensors like Spo2, ECG, Temperature sensor in the Apple Series 8 predecessor, this latest version features a blood glucose sensor. So people suffering from pre-diabetes or Diabetes itself will benefit greatly! Hopefully, Apple can incorporate an HbA1C sensor.
What is HbA1C?
HbA1C basically measures the average level of blood sugar over a three (3) month period. It is more reliable than a single blood sugar reading as it provides an averiage over a longer period than an instant single blood sugar reading which is only relevant for that particular time of day that the blood was taken. One of the drawbacks of HbA1C, is that it can not provide the clinician any warning of a dangerously low blood sugar event during the three month period.
The casing will also be available in aluminum, titanium and stainless steel, and customers will be provided with a greater variety of colours. The watch will apparently support 5G, and even a handwashing sensor!
Facebook Smartwatch
Facebook will be releasing its own smartwatch very soon. The display will be detachable, and it will also include a twin camera system. However, it will only be available in white, black and gold. The Facebook Smartwatch first generation will cost around $400. The watch will be announced officially at the end of 2022 or early 2023.
Google Pixel Watch 2
Pressure mounts in silicon valley as Google pushes to release it’s Google Pixel Watch 2 by 2023, before Apple realses it’s latest smartwatch, the Apple Watch Series 9!
The first Google Pixel watch had a minimalistic design and slick easy FitBit integration. Google’s first wearable effort wasn’t perfect, though. However, the battery was quite poor. The good news is that, this leaves plenty of room for Google’s Pixel Watch 2 to build upon and improve.
When will the Google Pixel Watch 2 arrive?
Likely only around October 2023. The good news is that all the big tech companies such as Google, Apple and Samsung are going heads against each other trying to realse every 12 months so we should be waiting too long!
