NASA launched its most powerful rocket it ever built from Cape Canaveral in Florida
NASA does it again, but this time with the 100 metre-tall Artemis 1 rocket. This is not only the most powerful rocket NASA ever built, but it is the most powerful ever built in human history.
The spacecraft is called Orion and is uncrewed for now, but if everything works according to plan, the people will climb aboard for future missions to the moon. This mission is carrying three mannequins and a snoopy soft toy which is measuring radiation levels and testing life-essential systems and equipment designed for the next generation of long-haul human spaceflights.
Mr Bill Nelson, the space agency’s administrator was amazd and said “That’s the biggest flame I’ve ever seen.”
The space agency said that “Artemis 3 will add a woman’s name to the only 12 moonwalkers in history. A subsequent mission of Artemis, in Greek mythology the twin sister of Apollo, will land the first person of color.”
