Katutura Fashion Week kicks off in Namibia

The 4th edition of the Katutura Fashion Week kicks off on 25 through to 26 November at the Franco Namibian Cultural Centre.

This year’s event will boast a total of 71 models, up from 58 the previous year which allows for a greater diversity in looks, body types, age, cultures and ability. Various showcase garments from 44 designers, most of whom are Namibian and others from Zambia, Angola, Malawi, Zimbabwe and South Africa will be on display.

“We have more designers this year and emphasis is placed on sharing our cultural diversity in Africa which is aimed at growth.” said Dennis Hendricks, the founder and director of Katutura Fashion Week.

Ticket prices are N$ 50 for children, N$100 for students and N$150 for the general public. Front row seat tickets cost N$250. Tickets will also be sold on the day at the door, but will be more expensive.
